My personal writing process is to freewrite, short outline and as ideas come to me I write it down before I forget. I am constantly taking notes and re-reading them. I do not know whether to do my rough draft long-hand and then copy to my computer or just type on the computer. Sometimes I do both.
Academic challenge - that would be deciding to go to Kaplan at age 55, and choose a completely different career path. I was never the brainiac that some people think me to be. I believe that I am what you would call "hands-on" smart not book smart. I learn much better by doing than by reading. That's how I am learning my way around the computer.
School is influencing me by helping me to come out of my safety shell. Right now I feel like a naked turtle! But I hope to be more of an alligator soon.
